Oven not heating
Usual cause: Bake element on electric, igniter on gas. Both are the most common oven repair there is.
What I do: I carry common elements and igniters on the truck.
Ovens tend to fail right before a holiday. I am Ramez, owner of R3M Appliance Repair, and I repair gas and electric ovens, ranges and wall ovens across Rockwall and nearby cities, usually the same day. If the oven is not heating, not holding temperature or a burner will not light, I can fix it.
The problems I see most, what usually causes them, and how I fix them.
Usual cause: Bake element on electric, igniter on gas. Both are the most common oven repair there is.
What I do: I carry common elements and igniters on the truck.
Usual cause: Failed temperature sensor or a weak igniter that is slow to open the gas valve.
What I do: Sensor swap and calibration, same visit.
Usual cause: Dirty or failed spark igniter, or a spark module.
What I do: Cleaned or replaced on the spot.
Usual cause: Worn door gasket or broken hinge.
What I do: Gaskets and hinges replaced same day.
Usual cause: Control board or a tripped thermal fuse after a self-clean cycle.
What I do: I confirm before ordering a board.
I test the element or igniter, the sensor and the controls. Most oven repairs are one part and under an hour. Before Thanksgiving, do not wait until the week of.
Elements, igniters, sensors and gaskets are always worth fixing. A control board on an older budget range is the one case where I will talk through replacing instead.
